Potassium Sulphocyanide, also known as potassium thiocyanate, is a white crystalline salt used in the detection of iron ions and other metal analysis. It forms colored complexes, especially red with iron, and is useful in coordination chemistry. Potassium Sulphocyanide is also used in photography, electroplating, and as a precursor in chemical synthesis.
